Green Roofs

Since 2001, Intrinsic Landscaping has pioneered the construction of green roofs in the Chicago Metropolitan Area, having constructed over 1,000,000 sq. ft. Intrinsic has installed more green roofs than any other independent contractor to date, making us the leading green roof contractor both locally and nationally.

Over the years, Intrinsic has evolved from an installation contractor to a one-stop green roof shop. Our sister company, Intrinsic Perennial Gardens, Inc. has a large growing facility outside of Chicago, which grows a diverse palette of green roof plants and hosts testing of green roof media & system components. IPG has developed different patented plant species uniquely suited to green roof situations.
